Housing and Food
DASH currently houses up to 50 residents at a given time.
We currently rent 9 apartment units in downtown Fort Worth.
We currently support 3 host homes across the metroplex.
On average, a resident stays in our program 22 months while awaiting their work permit.
DASH costs 66% less per individual than ICE Detention Centers, while offering a much higher quality of care
DASH has approximately 150 active volunteers.
We estimate that volunteers donate 6,290 hours annually
Every asylum seeker in our program is paired with 1-2 advocates
DASH hosts 4 main events per year to bring the community together, elevate the voices of those seeking asylum and raise awareness.
DASH hosts 12 All DASH meetings to share updates and build community at the end of each month. Everyone is welcome!

Our operating budget for 2022 is $821,432.That’s $45/day per resident at full capacity

This budget supports 50 residents seeking asylum and is the most holistic program DASH has ever offered.*
Our staff & volunteers work tirelessly to secure over $800k/yr in donated goods, services and time!
This budget includes 5 full-time (40+hr/week) staff members and 10 part-time (5-30 hr week) staff members
On average, our staff earns $20/hr both full and part-time positions.
We have also been blessed with 5 volunteer ‘staff’ members working an average of 10/hr week

*The 2023 proposed budget includes the addition of professional trauma counseling, legal assistance, translation services, increased community development and fellowship among residents, additional case work, transportation services and more. DASH receives no government funding. All funding is generously provided by individual donors, churches, local businesses, and foundations. We have only one fundraiser each Fall that supports our operations for the upcoming fiscal year. We are also proud recipients of the 2021 Platinum and 2020 Guidestar Gold Seal of Transparency.
