Before submitting a referral, it is helpful to understand how the DASH program works and who may be a good fit.
What Is DASH Network?
DASH Network provides long-term housing and wraparound support for eligible asylum seekers and families willing to relocate to Fort Worth, Texas.
Our goal is to help residents build stability, community, and independence while navigating the asylum process and waiting for employment authorization.
Is DASH an Emergency Shelter?
No.
DASH is not an emergency shelter and does not provide immediate emergency placements.
Because our housing model is designed for long-term stability, all referrals go through an application and review process.
Individuals experiencing an immediate housing crisis should also pursue local emergency housing resources in their area.
Who Does DASH Serve?
DASH primarily serves asylum seekers and families who:
- Are seeking asylum in the United States
- Need housing support
- Are willing to relocate to Fort Worth
- Are willing to participate in the DASH progra
- Meet eligibility requirements
- Can be accommodated within current housing availability
How Long Do Residents Stay?
Because asylum seekers are generally unable to legally work while waiting for employment authorization, many residents remain in the program throughout their wait for a work permit plus an additional graduation period lasting 5-6 months.
Length of stay varies based on each family’s circumstances and immigration process.
What Support Does DASH Provide?
Residents may receive support through:
- Long-term housing
- ESL classes
- Case management
- Legal coordination and referrals
- Community support through the Advocate Program
- Transportation assistance
- School and community resource navigation
- Community gatherings and relationship-building opportunities
What Information Should Referral Partners Gather?
Helpful information includes:
- Family size
- Current location
- Current housing situation
- Immigration status
- Legal representation status
- Willingness to relocate
- Any significant barriers or special circumstances
Not all information is required to begin a conversation.
What Happens After a Referral Is Submitted?
The DASH team reviews all referrals and may follow up with additional questions, documentation requests, and will request an application be filled out by the family or individual themselves.
Because housing availability is limited, referrals are reviewed carefully and acceptance into the program is not guaranteed.

We welcome referrals from attorneys, churches, nonprofits, social workers, advocates, and community members.
