We are honored to share that DASH Network has been named D CEO’s 2026 Small Nonprofit Organization of the Year, an incredible recognition of the work being done across our community to welcome and walk alongside asylum-seeking families rebuilding their lives in North Texas.
While we are deeply grateful for this honor, we know this recognition is about much more than DASH.
It belongs to the volunteers who have welcomed families with open arms. It belongs to the churches who have shared meals, furnished apartments, taught English classes, and built lasting friendships. It belongs to our donors, community partners, advocates, board members, and staff who faithfully say “yes” to serving others. Most of all, it belongs to the resilient families we have the privilege of serving every day.
Throughout this journey, we have seen God’s faithfulness again and again. He has opened doors we could never have opened ourselves, brought together churches, volunteers, donors, and community partners at just the right time, and continually reminded us that this work has always been His. We are humbled to be part of what He is doing as He welcomes families into safety, community, and hope.
When our Executive Director, Munatsi Manyande, accepted the award, he reflected on the people at the heart of DASH’s mission. He shared that the asylum-seeking families in our community make Texas and the United States stronger, and he expressed his gratitude to every person who has chosen to serve alongside them.
That has always been the heart of DASH.
We believe every family deserves the opportunity to live in safety, experience belonging, and build a hopeful future. Every day, we have the privilege of watching families move from uncertainty to stability. This is not because of one organization, but because an entire community chooses to walk alongside them.
This award celebrates that community.
It celebrates the relationships formed around dinner tables, the volunteers who become lifelong friends, the churches that open their doors, the businesses that create opportunities, and the countless acts of generosity that remind families they are not alone.
We are also grateful to D CEO for recognizing the important work taking place throughout North Texas’ nonprofit community. We are honored to stand alongside so many organizations dedicated to making our region stronger, more compassionate, and more welcoming.
As we celebrate this milestone, we know our work is far from finished.
Every day, families arrive seeking safety, community, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. We remain committed to walking alongside them as they find housing, employment, education, healthcare, friendships, and a place to call home.
To everyone who has volunteered, donated, partnered with us, prayed for us, or championed this mission—thank you.
This recognition belongs to all of us.
Here’s to continuing the work together.
